Driving a motorcycle is like flying. All your senses are alive. When I ride through Beverly Hills in the early morning, and all the sprinklers have turned off, the scents that wash over me are just heavenly. Being House is like flying, too. You're free of the gravity of what people think.

Our Story

In the early months of 1969, five gentlemen from the advertising, marketing and publishing business world of San Francisco (Michetti, Schuller, Stuart, Danford & Turner) formed a group of motorcycle riders and within a few weeks others had joined (Schneider, Schultz, Hegrefe, Hall & Chaput). The first elected president was Jim Turner.

Members met in the offices of Peterson Publications on Montgomery Street, where members drank booze and talked about motorcycle riding, women, sex and other macho concepts of the early 70’s. Most were married and this was an acceptable excuse to be ‘out with the boys’.

The idea of a luxury-oriented motorcycle club grew as these men let it be known around the industry, and more men acknowledged this hidden lust for riding fast on what was considered by many at the time to be a very dangerous vehicle.

Most of the early bikes were 350cc and 450cc Hondas with a couple 125cc Yamaha road/dirt bikes and one lonely 600cc BMW. They strapped small suitcases on the back of the bikes with rope or bungee cords and headed out for adventures together!

They had stag paper chase rides, a few Saturday rides to local pub for lunch and within a few months created the first signature ride to Furnace Creek Inn at Death Valley.

Since then, the Club has continued to grow and recently celebrated its 50th year of riding in 2019.
