The club hosts 20+ rides per year ranging from half-day, local rides covering 150-300 miles to weekend, overnight rides covering 400-1,000+ miles over 2-3 days to places like Pismo Beach, Mendocino, Feather River, Kings Canyon, June Lake, Death Valley, and other beautiful destinations. 

Day rides include a circuitous route to lunch at an interesting, local venue. Weekend rides are usually scheduled for a Friday morning departure, returning on Sunday.

The club stays in a variety of accommodations including rustic cabins, historical lodges, classic motor-motels and luxury resorts. 

The club hosts a summer party at a member’s home, catered around the pool, allowing spouses and members not riding as often, to stay connected with friends. 

The formal holiday party each December celebrates the end of another amazing year of riding together and kicks off planning for the next season. 

Founded in 1969, by advertising and finance executives working on Montgomery Street in San Francisco, the club was known in the past for its exclusivity and affluent members: business executives who insisted on luxury accommodations and lavish diversions. 

Riding credentials have been a long tradition. The club famously turned down Malcolm Forbes for membership as he was not local and rode infrequently.

Today, the club has a diverse membership of business owners, professionals, and many enjoying retirement in ‘the saddle’. 

Rides and events focus on camaraderie and adventure, enjoying the unique beauty of California and our home city of San Francisco.

Club membership is limited to 40 active members.  Membership usually becomes available when a member chooses to become an associate member, moves away from the Bay Area or gives up the sport.
